I feel both are equally creepy. So why not mix Both? There’s certainly lots going on in this painting, but i’m assuming that was my goal. I took Every element from my OMEN paintings, and combined them into one. I didn’t even realize that until i started inking this. The original sketch of this was quite simple, it was just a outline of the basic figure. Its been a blast painting this piece, I’ve been trying to focus more on my paints rather than my ink detail. I wanted to work more with Devin on some of the paintings for the show, but time was cut short. So this painting was somewhat inspired by his work. Very minor layering here compared to the Venom. I’ve always been a fan of Eric Larson and his take on spidey’s web lines, so that played a bit of an influence here. I also tried to keep it somewhat colorful but not overdue it. Thick rich bolds with black, to give it kind of a nerdy scientific feel to it. </p> <p>And the webbing on his costume was a bitch like always.
